Our Journey
Foundation Developers Academy, widely known as Developers Academy, is a pioneering hub with a focus on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), empowering unemployed youth and marginalized women through various incubation programs. Our journey traces back to 2009 when we started as a Youth Led Club called Child Dream Foundation, offering mentorship and leadership support to students in Northern Ghana. Over the years, our impact expanded, leading to a rebranding in 2020 to Foundation Developers Academy. Today, based in the Oti regional capital of Ghana, Dambai, with a satellite office in Keta, Volta region, we continue to pursue our core mandate of nurturing and developing young startups and entrepreneurs in Ghana and beyond. With an emphasis on entrepreneurship, smart industries, education, gender equality, agriculture, vocational training, and innovation, we are proud to have built a vibrant community of over 250 startups, with 65% being women-owned businesses.
